This is made from vines located on very steep south-facing slopes (30 à 40 %), that were planted between 1980 and 1982. They are managed under the strict conditions of the Chablis tradition. They extend from the bottom of the valley to the top of the slopes. The Kimmeridgien subsoil gives it the intensity and typicity of the character of a fine Chablis premier cru. Maturity is sure to be reached every year. This wine is aged for 12 to 18 months in stainless steel vats before bottling. It may be drunk quite young as it has plenty of richness and fruit, but its good acid content make it a good choice for those who like old wines and collectors of exceptional bottles. Tasting notes:

  • Colour: vivid yellow with a hint of green.
  • Nose: expressive, white flowers, acacia (hawthorn in the second nose)
  • Palate: round, expressive, unctuous with a fine mineral return. Powerful and rich.

The Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy can be drunk with white meat, calf’s head and fish dishes. It is also recommended with cheese.
